(no subject)

*sigh*
Totally fragged from no sleep after last night's escapade at the Vet's, came this morning's service call for the furnace. Eastern Petroleum showed up around 8:45a, dismantled about half of the furnace and scrubbed it all out, cleaned the jet and intake, and fixed the gas venting problem it was having. They just left, having reassembled it all.

Trouble is, there was a piece that's not covered under the service contract that the damned thing needs. A $50 part... with a $75 labor fee to install it.

I... am going to go cry now. I've turned the ringer off on the phones, and locked the door. Maybe if I hide it won't get any worse...

*hugs*

I don't know what to say, I've been learning to fix my own furnace because I can't afford service calls.

Any chance of getting the part direct and replacing it yourself?
