Isabel, currently a Tropical Storm, is just east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Which means the worst of it has passed us by. We've got some very -minor- limbs down, and part of our neighborhood is without power, but most of it seems to have weathered just fine. Mom, Dad, and my oldest younger sister have all chimed in as safe, with minor flooding noted in my sister's basement and garage (which floods even in a normal rain). Getting an 'All Circuits are Busy' message when trying to call my Doc's office in Annapolis; we're going to have to drive down to see iffn they're open, and I'm expecting the answer to be 'no'.

And when we get home, I'm going -back- to bed. Ended up being up till nearly 5am... made the mistake of picking up book 1 of the Belgariad and it sucked me in just like it did years ago.

*hugs*

Holy Coincidences, Bat-Ellie!

I just finished reading that this morning and just started the second book.

This is the first time for me, though. While the obvious use of racial stereotyping is a bit squick-inducing, it is a very good story and I'm looking forward to the rest of it.

Belgariad? Wow. Haven't read that in years.

Just glad that you're safe, dear.
