... have you ever encountered a movie that you remembered being really funny and entertaining that turned out to be bloody awful? Yeah, it's that bad. Sat tonight and watched The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas, and dear sweet cod I /must/ be remembering a different movie. It really has NOT aged well. Not at all. O.O

You're not incorrect. I find that I need to be VERY tired when watching BLWiT OR just fastforward and play only the musical numbers.

::smooch:: BTW, I have to figure out how to respond to your texts.. they are making my day very happy, and I really appreciate them!

XOXOXO

I thought the Fatal Attraction/Basic Instinct parody Fatal Instinct was hilarious when I first saw it. I watched it again recently, and I thought it really wasn't as funny as I remember it being... :/

Even the musical numbers are a bit lackluster. Dolly does her parts very well, but BLWiT contains one of the most horrifying things in movie history: Burt Reynolds trying to sing. Also of note are the supposed members of the Aggies... there's not a football player in that lot, and probably not many that'd know what to do with a girl besides talking fashion and shoes. :p

*smooch* If they're making you happy then that's all I need in response, cutie. Just promise you'll TELL me if I get annoying. :)

I've never seen any of them, though I'm at least familiar (in brief) with the plotlines of the first two.

I guess I just hadn't expected the huge gulf between memory and reality.
