Squee!

Had dinner last night with dansr, and met a bunch of really neat people. Sadly, my brain doesn't file names worth a damn, so the only one I remember a name for was sskipstress. Still, very cool people. We had dinner at a joint called 'Cheeburger Cheeburger'. Yes, it's spelled properly. I still think it sounds like an Ewok battle cry, but there you go. Burgers were -very- good (I finished mine this morning, even was good cold), fries were good, though I was less impressed with the cheese sauce. Next time I'll get the horseradish. :p

The next stop was an ice cream place called 'Maggie Moo's'. ... what is with the bizarre names for places suddenly? Anyway, the icecream was very tasty, though I only ate half of mine. My appetite kept doing the switch on/switch off thing all through the evening, much to my annoyance, and ice cream wasn't going to survive the trip home.

From there, the group disbanded, mostly. I got dansr up onto the highway to where her directions made sense, then followed her to where she's staying. We chattered for about two hours before both of us hit the 'must sleep now' wall. I headed back here and let the poor lady sleep; she was performing again today, and the poor dear is going to be dead on her feet. :(

I'm dealing with a mild sugar hangover this morning, but otherwise am intact. It... was surprisingly nice to get out and see people, even people I didn't know. Tiring, but nice. A pity this is the fiddler's last weekend at MDRF. But there's next year!:)

There's a Maggie Moos near us, too. I'm always tempted to go in, but Eter gives me a look like I've lost all dignity when I suggest it. ^_^;
