As I continue to try and dig out of the emotional pit I discovered, trying to catch up with LJ posts rises to near the top of the queue... so I spent a bit of time trying to scan back through a couple of pages, and happened upon a journal quizzie that perked my curiousity.
... after almost two decades spent up to my eyeballs in PC hardware, most of my former co-workers would never believe this. But this journal entry was written on a Mac, the quiz taken on a Mac, and the only things my PC gets used for are DVD watching/ripping, gaming, and the occasional cdrw archive burn. None of that gives any indication of just how... perplexing this result feels to me, though.
I'm going to skip the highly popular '10 things I've done most haven't' meme; the memories that it dredged up just reading other folks' answers were bad enough without having to give them the flesh of formed words. The folk that know me will understand, the rest will have to just cope. Sorry.
No, I've not forgotten the 'details' post I promised; it'll get written when I'm sure I'm in a clean environment and have time to compose my thoughts. While it's only the piggies and I that're awake at the moment, I'm not as trusting to fate as I once was. It'll keep, for the moment.
I do, however, think that each and every one of you should run right out and download Blob Wars: Metal Blob Solid, a quirky little platform sidescroller that's got nifty-as-hell music. I WILL caution my Mac friends to not try and run it on a G3/400 and expect much of anything else to work, but it's worth it I think.
And if you can deal with a bit of mischevious quasi-heretical humor, take a look at THIS.
With that... I'm either going to go kill things or try and sleep.
