Mozilla wasn't handling a page I needed.
Internet Explorer was being a rabid pain in my ass.

Page was 'approved' for IE and Netscape. Right. Download Netscape, install it into it's own special little directory on a completely different drive from where Mozilla was installed...

And lost every goddamned one of my bookmarks. Six months of genetic, hormone, surgery, and body modification gone. Piffle.

And if I find someone that works for Netscape, I'm going to slowly fillet the cocksucker and make him eat his own fucking skin.

I'm going to go smoke a pack of cigarettes now. Pardon my profanity. Wanna fix it? Mail me the head of Netscape. Not the whole bastard, just his fucking head.

Next person that picks on me for being a pathological packrat is gonna get thumped with the biggest book I can find. Repeatedly.

All of the body modification links are gone, as are all of my hormone research points. They'll have to be rebuilt. Most of the surgery links were retrievable from a bookmarks file that'd gotten mixed into a CDR archive burn, as were about half of the genetic codec sites. What I'm missing is still a blow, but... I've enough left that I can rebuild from, at least. It'll take me time to rebuild my research; there's no telling how much of it is permanently lost. Forty minutes of fiddling rebuilt -most- of my preferences scripts, but the custom java tweaks are history. :(

And Netscape can piss up a rope and suck mightily on the wet end. It only added to my fury when I tried to get into their Help and Support area, and discovered that they're CHARGING for it. $9.95 for a single email. How very Microsoft of them. I sent my rant to the much more general webpage email address: it likely will be sniggered at and dumped unceremoniously into dev/null.

The rage has throttled back to a general seething, now. I am blown away by the fact that it overwrote EVERYthing.

*sigh* And I know I'm getting old, because I remember when things like this were -common- with IE... and everyone and their kid sister Raquelle migrated over to Netscape, seeking shelter from the big scripts that overwrite without checking with you first. And now they're doing the same thing...
