(no subject)

Bleah. Managed to fall again today, and blew out the same damned knee again. *sigh*
Megan went out early to return vids that were due; she brought back X-Men and Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure for me, which were good choices given my mood. Bill & Ted is a favorite of mine; it's definitely not highbrow entertainment, but it's a heck of a lot of fun, and it's been a while since I saw it. X-Men... I'm a bit torn on this one. I've been an X-Men fan for decades, and still flip through issues when I get the chance. (I'm also a -major- Alpha Flight enthusiast, but noone's seen fit to attempt a movie with them.) I squick a bit at 'updating' something like costumes and origins. But on the other hand, I thought the film itself was well done, and I have to admit that the black uniforms are sharp. So... well, go rent it. Make up your own mind.

I'm just gonna sit here and try not to look at the canteloupe sized knee...

For those of you that care, and that live in caves, The Big O has entered season 2 now. Many many thanks to one of my favorite dollies for giving me a heads up on this.... but now I have video clippage proof! *happydance*

Courtesy of one of the many Big O oriented forums, I discovered THIS PAGE which has some snippets from the Japanese broadcast of episode 14. The new intro is spiffy, the closing titles are enough to make my heart burst, and the Big O kicks some MAJOR booty. Now I just have to wait for translated versions... *pacepacepacepace*

Anyway, other than that I'm just sitting here and being swollen. *sigh* It sucks majorly, but it gave me some time to do a bit of looking around on the being-revised Big O fansites.

Since the dream of a second season of The Big O came true, there's no harm in turning my will, wits, and prayers to a second season of Hellsing, right? :)
