It's been an... interesting day. Yes, interesting is very definitely the word for it. In no particular order:
That's about it for me. Braindead, sick, and tired. :p
- Molly, our newest (and by far smallest) guinea pig demonstrated a truly frightening degree of cunning and dexterity; she somehow managed to escape the SPRING-LOADED door of her cage and escape into the house. It took almost three hours to locate her after I silenced -everything- in the house (furnace, fridge, computers, clocks, etc... there's an amazing amount of ambient noise in this place), and then dismantle the room she was found in to get -to- her. When we finally got to her? She was chattering and chirping in that impressively cheerful way of cavies everywhere who're having one hell of a good time. Crazy little fuzzball. :p
- I'm sick. Bleah. Fortunately, I seem to have at least gotten past the throwing up stages... and given the rest of what I'm dealing with, constipation is NOT an issue I currently face. Ah well. Hopefully it'll pass soon. I've got nearly a gallon of orange juice, a bottle of vitamins, and some cold tablets...
- I had a lovely little chat with Kellie this afternoon... being the 'K H' I referred to in a previously vitriolic (and, it turns out, totally baseless) post. How am I sure it wasn't her that originated things? She showed up at the door this afternoon with a shampoo we'd been chatting about and a small army of curlers and brushes to do my hair. This is -not- a person who's at all uncomfortable with me. ... ... Which means it's yet another attempt by Megan to slow/halt any forward progress on my part. By the time Kellie left here, she was... quite peeved at Megan. For my part, I said nothing to Megan at all on the topic; it'll be more fun to watch Kellie do her infamous pounce-and-shred in public (her temper is every bit as volatile as mine, and she herself admits to having 'much less' control than I do). I think I might sell tickets.
- For the moment, the DSL is running. Dunno how long it will last this time, but I've got things running while it's up. Managed to pick up digital copies of a pair of AC/DC albums that I own on cassette, and a 45second snippet of a Blink 182 song that sounds interesting... it puts them on the 'gift ideas' list for when folks ask. It's amazing how very little my family actually -knows- about me; one relative bought me a Seinfeld t-shirt for Christmas. *blinks* Umm.... bleah! But Megan likes it, so more power to her, you know?
